When we are not in the vineyard or orchard working, you'll usually find us in the workshop limit-testing our robot.
"So... How steep can it go?"
We get asked this a lot and its a relevant question for many growers.
Getting a robot to work on the flat in controlled conditions is easy. Getting it to work on a slope in wet and muddy conditions is much harder.
It was tests like this that helped us develop our robots advanced Traction Control System \(TCS\).
This has become a key point of difference and an asset for handling slopes and challenging terrain. It detects slip, responds in real-time and keeps itself moving. And 42° - great result for a controlled test!
If you have seen our previous post, this site has a steady 11° incline:

It's vital to know the robot can handle this when towing over 500kgs.
Still working to make it better, every generation.
